Alma Lodge Guest House. We are a family run Guest House and at Alma Lodge you will find the staff very amicable. A warm welcome will await you and we will endeavour to make your stay as comfortable as we possibly can.

All rooms in the Guest House are ensuite and have full central heating, hot/cold water, flat screen TV - some with DVD built in - hair dryer on request, free Wi-Fi, complimentary biscuits, tea/coffee making facilities and entry can be accessed with your own key fob.  Full English breakfast is included in the price of your room.

There is unrestricted parking at side of Guest House and on a first come, first served basis there is a drive in front which can take up to 3 or 4 cars (depending how good one is at parking).   Parking is not always an easy option in Plymouth however with the side road, it is not an issue for Alma Lodge and is FREE.

Alma Lodge Guest House overlooks Central Park which is one of the largest and most popular parks in Plymouth. This park houses an indoor swimming pool and baby/toddler pool, gymnasium, golf course, two cafes and Plymouth Argyle FC.  Along with a lovely play park and many other amenities. Nearest B & B to Life Centre.

We are also only 5/10 mins walk to Britannia Inn (Wetherspoon's pub) therefore ideal if tired after a long car journey. We are only 10 mins walk from train station and 15/20 minutes’ walk into City Centre and University (on a regular bus route into the City Centre/University).

By car, the bridge linking Cornwall to Devon is only 10 mins drive from the Guest House. Ideally situated to link into Raleigh and also ferry too, which is roughly 15 mins from here.   We are also ideally situated for Dockyard and also on bus route to Derriford Hospital.  There is also another Ferry Port to France & Spain and the Ferry port is only 10 mins drive away.

Plymouth University is only 15/20 mins walk, as is the City Centre.  However buses all head into the City, as we are on a regular bus service.

Plymouth is historical, with its Mayflower Steps in the Barbican (where the first American settlers set sail from England). Scott of the Antarctic, born in Milehouse, in fact he was actually born in the next street from us, i.e. Outland Road,  just a few houses away from the Weatherspoon’s.  Sir Francis Drake was another famous explorer of Devon and the famous Hoe has a statue of this famous Sailor. We are only 10 mins drive from the historical Hoe (sea front) and Barbican areas, which make for a great day out.
